CLARIFICATION RE: MIDDLE SCHOOL EXAMINATION RESULTS (UPDATED INFO 16th Jan. 2012)

Several inquiries were received concerning required Middle School Examination results, therefore the following explanation is presented for candidates: Middle School Examination Result of minimum 80% means 80 points obtained in the Humanities and Maths-Natural Science jointly. For instance, 40 points obtained in Maths-Natural Sciences and 42 points obtained in Humanities make total of 82 points out of 100 points which is equivalent of 82%. The language test results ARE NOT CONSIDERED.

IMPORTANT NOTICE – EXTENSION OF THE FINANCIAL THRESHOLD FOR CANDIDATES APPLYING FOR SCHOLARHSIPS IN 2012

BAS selection committee decided to raise the limit on family income from the present 100.000 PLN to 107.000 in the last fiscal year. This decision was based on the fact, that exchange rate of GBP to PLN was consistently high for much of the 2011.

This decision affects the 2012 Selection ONLY and does not have any bearing on future regulations.

Marzena Reich
Selection Secretary
