What is BAS? The British Alumni Society (BAS) aims to bring together Poles and British nationals residing in Poland, who have studied at University level in the United Kingdom. We also welcome those who have participated in conferences or cultural events funded through UK training or professional development schemes. BAS encourages its members to network both professionally and socially, exchanging their experience and knowledge to further their careers. We organise regular events including mixers and speaker evenings. The Society was formally established in July ’99 by 27 alumni of UK universities. Over the last few years, we have grown to over 550 members. Among our members are former participants of the following programmes: Chevening (Joseph Conrad) Scholarships British Council Scholarships Know How Project Other UK scholarships Wilton Park Conferences We also welcome all those who were self funded or took part in European exchange programmes [Socrates/Tempus/Erasmus]
