On 17 February 2010 The British Alumni Society South Poland & MBA Club hosted Her Majesty’s Ambassador Ric Todd. The meeting was hold at the Polish Open University in Krakow. Our special guest delivered a speech 'Britain & Poland: Partners or Polite Friends' in which he focused on British – Polish relations from 1914 to present.
An animated discussion that followed concerned both the past and present issues vital for both the nations. The alumni were curious of the Ambassador’s opinion on immigration problems, secularization and the role of the Polish workers for the British economy. The matter of management – workers relations was also raised and we exchanged views whether they depend on the company’s culture or the cross-culture differences play important role in this matter.
